Sound Loupe Privacy Policy

Last updated July 1, 2026

Sound Loupe listens to live sound through your microphone, so privacy is a core feature. This policy explains how your audio is handled.

On-device by default

The live audio from your microphone is analyzed and separated entirely on your device. It is streamed through in real time and is not uploaded unless you explicitly capture a layer and choose cloud processing for it.

Captures & exports

Live audio is not stored unless you deliberately capture a layer. Anything you capture stays in your local library, and you control when — and whether — it's shared or exported.

Optional cloud processing

If you opt into cloud processing for a captured layer, the file is encrypted in transit, processed, and deleted from our servers immediately after the result is returned. It is never used to train models.

Your controls

You can wipe the local library and revoke microphone access at any time from your device settings.
